Dr. Michelle Bholat is a renowned family medicine physician, public health leader, and advocate for health equity. She serves as Chair of Family Medicine at UCR Health, where she oversees efforts to advance excellence in primary care and medical education. Dr. Bholat earned her MD from the University of California, Irvine, and an MPH from UCLA, complementing her extensive clinical expertise with public health leadership. She has held numerous leadership roles, including Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs and Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at UCLA, where she co-founded the UCLA International Medical Graduate Program to address physician workforce disparities. A passionate educator and mentor, Dr. Bholat integrates innovative approaches to primary care, addiction medicine, and health systems improvement, reflecting her lifelong commitment to advancing health equity and medical education.
