Timothy J. Collins

Timothy J. Collins joined the UCR Health leadership team with more than 30 years of experience in academic medical centers, acute care hospitals, and health systems.

Collins received his bachelor of science in business administration and a master of healthcare administration with an emphasis on healthcare finance from the University of Southern California. In 2018, he earned his doctorate in education in interdisciplinary and organizational leadership from Creighton University. He received a Gold Level Lean Certification from the University of Iowa in 2013.

Before joining UCR Health, Collins held multiple leadership positions at Scripps Health in San Diego. He served as the Chief Executive Officer at Scripps Green Hospital, System Corporate Vice President, and Chief Operating Officer at Scripps Green Hospital and Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. In addition, he was the Regional Executive Director at Providence Health System. He is also a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a licensed emergency medical technician.
